I've read that in 2010 NHRA is saying we have to have an NHRA approved trans dipstick that locks....whatever that is.......
![]() How bout this? I don't see how it could come out with the spring attached...

Pete I think it's the tube into the case they are concerned with. So------ get a four speed & fogetaboutit

I think they are probably referring to this style of locking dipstick or a screw-in type.

Right....locks inside the trans.....got it........well...guess I'll have to break down and buy one.......does anyone know who makes one for a TH-400?

Mine came with my transmission when I purchased it 2 years ago from FB Performance. Try Cliff Whynaught at the track. If he can't get one I'm sure he knows where to get one.

On another website guys are taking the dipstick out and plugging the tube...no dipstick...no need for locking type.
